A meeting of Bette’s love of Art Deco and Rozae’s longstanding fascination with transparency and layering, the Divine Deco Apron brings some of the collection’s most personal references together in one piece.
The Deco print traces back to the beginnings of Bette and Rozae’s friendship. While looking through Rozae’s archives from her namesake label, Bette discovered an original print that immediately caught her eye, one of many moments of creative recognition that brought the two together. Her enthusiasm for the artwork, and for Rozae’s body of work more broadly, became part of the inspiration for revisiting the motif and reimagining it for this collection.
Cut from fluid 100% viscose, the apron is individually hand printed in bronze metallic ink with an intricate composition of botanical forms and Deco geometry. The artwork reflects Bette’s affinity for the ornament and graphic lines of the Deco period.
A sheer layer of tulle floats over the printed viscose, softening and shifting the metallic artwork beneath it as the wearer moves.
Designed to tie at the waist, it can be worn as an apron or layered over trousers and dresses as a quietly expressive finishing piece.
